Client’s Goal: To conduct a comprehensive audit of the website’s current state, identify technical and on-page issues, and prepare a foundation for future SEO promotion.

What We Did:

A complex SEO audit was conducted to prepare the website for promotion. The analysis covered technical, on-page, and content aspects of the site.

  1. Website Audit:
  • Technical Health Check: Analyzed key site indicators, including indexing status in Google and Bing, SSL certificate presence, and domain registration date. An indexing report was also compiled for various search engines.
  • Content Analysis: Performed a content uniqueness check on key pages to identify opportunities for improvement and increase relevance.
  • External Link Profile Audit: Analyzed the external link profile to identify potentially harmful links. A list of donor domains was compiled for disavowal to mitigate risks from Google sanctions.
  • On-Page & Usability Analysis: A detailed On-Page audit resulted in a list of specific recommendations, including:
    • Updating the robots.txt file.
    • Implementing «Breadcrumbs» and Schema.org micro-markup for contacts and breadcrumbs.
    • Correcting the use of heading tags (H1-H6) and removing link markup from them.
    • Adding rel=»canonical» attributes to handle duplicate content on pagination pages.
    • Optimizing the URL structure to be more user- and search-engine-friendly (SEF URLs) and setting up 301 redirects.
    • Improving user experience by adding an «Up» button.

 

  1. Optimization Strategy: Based on the audit, a complete optimization framework was developed:
    • Semantic Core: A comprehensive semantic core was collected and clustered, covering a wide range of pharmaceutical and medical queries, from general terms like «pharmaceutical distributor» to specific product names and disease-related medications.

    • Site Structure: A new, optimized site structure was designed to align with the semantic core, creating a logical hierarchy for product categories based on diseases and drug classes.

    • Meta Tags & Headings: Provided detailed, templated recommendations for updating meta tags (Title, Description, Keywords) and H1 headings for all key landing pages to match the new structure and collected keywords.

    • Content & Internal Linking: Developed guidelines for writing new articles and creating a cross-page internal linking scheme. This included instructions on using and linking keywords within the text to distribute link equity to relevant pages. Recommendations for optimizing H2 headings were also provided.

 

Final Deliverables:

The client received a complete SEO foundation for future implementation. This package included a comprehensive audit, a fully developed semantic core, an optimized site structure, and a prioritized action plan, enabling them to systematically address existing issues and build a strong base for search engine promotion.
