Mobile massage services | SEO promotion / US

This case study outlines the strategy and results of the search engine optimization project for Molfars.us, a new mobile massage service provider.

About the Client & Goals

  • Company & Niche: The client is a new company offering mobile massage services in Las Vegas. Having just started its operations a few months prior, the company was taking its first steps in the business. The primary service is massage, with plans to sell related products in the future.
  • Target Audience: The main clientele are tourists and corporate visitors in Las Vegas for events, conferences, casino trips, celebrations (bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthdays), or business meetings. The target demographic is men and women aged 30 and above with average to high income levels.
  • Project Goals: The key objective was to attract customers and generate service orders through the website. This involved establishing an online presence from scratch and driving targeted traffic.
  • Initial Situation (as of Dec 22, 2022): The project started from a zero base. The website had no pages indexed in Google or Bing and no external backlinks. The domain was registered on September 1, 2022.

Stages of Work

  1. Comprehensive Website Audit

An initial audit on December 22, 2022, revealed that the site was not optimized for search engines. Key issues identified were:

    • Technical SEO: The site had zero indexed pages, no sitemap, and no connections to Google Analytics or Google Search Console. URL structures were not SEO-friendly.
    • Content: Existing content required uniqueness improvements to perform well in search results. Meta tags (Title, Description, Keywords) and H1 tags were missing or not optimized.

  • Commercial Factors: The site lacked crucial trust-building elements like a dedicated contacts page, visible phone numbers, customer reviews, and staff information. It also needed integration with Google Business Profile.

A detailed list of recommendations was prepared, including setting up 301 redirects, creating a 404 error page, improving site speed, and implementing schema markup.

  1. Semantic Core Development and Structuring

A comprehensive semantic core was developed to cover the client’s wide range of services and target locations.

    • Keyword Collection: Thousands of keywords were collected, covering general queries like «mobile massage las vegas» and highly specific ones like «couples massage near Venetian hotel» or «in-home prenatal massage». The keywords encompassed different massage types (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal), service locations (in-home, in-hotel, specific hotels like MGM Grand, Bellagio), city areas (The Strip, Downtown), and informational queries («what is deep tissue massage»).

    • Clustering and Site Structure: The keywords were clustered into logical groups to form a multi-level website structure. This structure included main service pages, specific massage type pages, pages for each major hotel and area in Las Vegas, and a blog section for informational content. The implementation of this structure was planned in six stages.

  1. On-Page Optimization and Content Implementation

Based on the semantic core, a full-scale on-page optimization was carried out.

    • Meta Tags and Headings: Unique, optimized Titles, Descriptions, and H1 tags were created for hundreds of pages. H2 headings were also prepared to structure the content on each page using relevant keywords.
    • Content Creation: A content plan was developed, requiring 32,100 characters of new text to fill the newly structured pages. The content was designed to be informative and engaging, with a warm, friendly, and sometimes humorous tone to encourage service bookings.

  • Internal Linking: A strategic internal linking plan was implemented. Keywords within the text were used as anchors to link to relevant pages, distributing link equity and improving user navigation. For instance, a mention of «mobile massage» on a hotel-specific page would link back to the main «Mobile Massage» service page.

  1. Link Building

A link-building campaign was initiated to build the site’s authority. Between May 1 and June 22, 2023, several high-quality backlinks were acquired.

  • Donor Quality: Links were placed on authoritative domains. | Domain | Ahrefs DR | Moz DA | | :— | :— | :— | | hibox.com | 53 | 80 | | github.com | 96 | 95 | | nairaland.com | 75 | 82 | **
  • Link Profile Growth: The link profile grew from 1 referring domain to 3, and from 8 to 12 inbound links by June 22, 2023.

Results

The systematic SEO work produced significant improvements in search engine visibility in a relatively short period.
