  • Project Theme, Region, Website Type: The project focused on damage restoration services, encompassing water, fire, smoke, mold, and odor remediation. The services are specifically targeted at the Los Angeles and Orange County regions, with geographical tracking also noted for Torrance. The website is a corporate/service-oriented platform for a restoration company, designed to showcase its comprehensive service offerings and regional presence.
  • Client Goal: The primary objective was to conduct an in-depth audit of the website’s current SEO, technical, and commercial factors. This audit aimed to identify areas for improvement and prepare actionable solutions, thereby establishing a robust foundation for future search engine optimization efforts.

What was done:

    • A comprehensive site audit was conducted, meticulously analyzing various critical aspects:
      • Commercial factors were thoroughly evaluated, leading to recommendations such as the inclusion of all possible contact methods (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger), detailed call center and company operating hours, implementation of Schema.org micro-markup for key elements (breadcrumbs, contact details, service pages, FAQ), adding administrator photos and names, optimizing the Google Business Profile with client reviews, and integrating a call-back request form.
      • SEO and technical aspects underwent rigorous assessment, resulting in recommendations for optimizing Title, Meta-Keywords, Meta-Description, and H1 tags across relevant pages, a revised site structure, setting rel=»nofollow» for external links with new window opening, updating the footer copyright notice, implementing breadcrumbs with a specific «Home» phrase change, resolving 404 page display issues, updating the robots.txt file, eliminating link overlaps with H1-H6, B, and Strong tags, applying rel=»canonical» to pagination pages, creating a thematic Favicon, optimizing image Alt and Title attributes, integrating Google Analytics with access delegation, configuring 301 redirects for trailing slashes, and uploading webmaster verification files for Google and Bing.

       

An optimization scheme was developed:

    • Extensive collection and grouping of keywords were performed, generating a detailed semantic core that covers various damage restoration services and specific geographical locations like Los Angeles and Orange County, complete with search frequency data.

    • Detailed recommendations for site structure and meta-tags were provided. This included a proposed new site structure with additional pages and specific Title and H1 tag suggestions for numerous service and location-based pages.

    • A clear strategy for template internal linking was outlined, instructing that relevant keywords within new content should be hyperlinked to their corresponding pages. Keywords pertinent to the homepage were specified to link back to it without special highlighting.
    • Content enhancements included a requirement for new articles totaling 26,700 characters, alongside precise guidelines for keyword integration, text highlighting, and the proper use of H2 tags.

 

  • The client received a comprehensive technical assignment and an Excel document detailing all recommendations for optimized tags, content, internal linking, and the proposed site structure, all presented in a structured and accessible format.
